Peter. Artist.

For many years, Peter worked as a software engineer for multiple companies. Though computer science was his career, his true passion was always revolved around the arts.

Now that he is retired, he has more time to spend working with his hands. From painting and sketching to sculpting figures out of clay, he has explored multiple mediums, but has come to love working with colored pencils the most. Drawing landscapes, flora and fauna are his favorite subjects to capture.

Peter lives with his wife, Loren, and their two cats who love to watch his artistic progress.

How Peter Works

When starting out with a black base, Peter first uses a very light blue pencil to sketch out a preliminary outline. Peter spends a lot of time making adjustments to the first initial sketch to ensure the shape and dimension of his creation is perfect. Once he is happy with the finished sketch, he then uses a minimal amount of color to block out each section before adding in more color and more detail. From there, he can begin to layer pencil strokes and colors to add definition and texture.
